Formed in 2013 by professionals with extensive experience in shipbuilding, SeaMate was born with the objective of providing technical consulting services to both Brazilian and foreign ship owners whether or not they are already operating or will start its operations in Brazilian waters. In 2012 there were 435 vessels (OSVs) operating in Brazil to support offshore oil production. The Brazilian Association of Offshore Support Companies (ABEAM) projects that this number will reach 686 by 2020. This increase of 251 vessels will take place, mostly through new entrants in the sector, whether Brazilian or foreign. Not to mention coastal and international trade, that show a growing dynamism. These new entrants need local expertise, in Brazil, to manage the lifecycle of its major assets, ie their vessels. The main objective of SeaMate is meeting the demand from our customers for technical knowledge about their assets, from the early stages of negotiation of the shipbuilding contract, through her actual construction, her delivery requirements, until her maintenance during the operation, always using the latest technologies available in the field of data acquisition and distribution.
