I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in my hometown of San Jose, CA. I attained both my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Masters in Counseling from John F. Kennedy University. Prior to entering the field of psychotherapy, I spent 12 years in Corporate Marketing, Communications, and HR project management. I have personal experience with stressors and issues impacting the corporate workforce, especially in Silicon Valley. My knowledge of the business world and psychotherapy allows me to connect with working professionals and couples who find it difficult to balance work and family life, while sustaining their mental health.
Within the field of psychotherapy, I have experience working in clinical and educational settings under the supervision of a highly skilled Satir-based professional where I managed a full caseload including gender/sexual identity, kink interests/communities, addiction, personality disorders, sexual trauma, divorce/separation, anxiety/depression, grief/loss, women’s/men’s issues, spirituality, neurodiversity, couple’s communication, pre-marital counseling, court mandated sessions, and general life transitions.
I am especially passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing gender transition. This is a unique journey where psychotherapy can assist with supporting, exploring, encouraging, and providing additional resources during all stages of the transition process. I am personally associated with the LGBTQ community, most specifically the transgender experience.
