About SEAOHUN
Established in 2011 with the support of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and its One Health Workforce project, the Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) is dedicated to developing a skilled and competent One Health workforce for the future. Our mission is to foster a new generation of professionals equipped to tackle health challenges at the intersection of human, animal, and environmental sciences. Since its inception, SEAOHUN has grown from a founding consortium of 10 universities in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam to an expansive network of over 115 universities across eight countries, including Cambodia, Lao PDR, Philippines, and Myanmar. This significant expansion was made possible through the generous support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the U.S. Department of State, under its Lower Mekong Initiative (LMI). Our network brings together a diverse group of institutions specializing in various disciplines essential to One Health. This multidisciplinary approach enriches our educational initiatives and research, promoting a collaborative and holistic perspective necessary for global health security.
