SEARCHER UAV

Searcher is an UAV project lead by a group of MSc students in Naval Architecture and Aerospace Engineering at KTH - Royal Institue of Technology. We are developing an innovative fixed-wing UAV designed for take-offs and landings on water. Searcher is characterised by its robust construction, featuring the intensive use of composite materials, and its advanced electronic systems, including a sonar module. This sonar capability enables comprehensive underwater surveys for seabed mapping, fauna monitoring, SAR operations and scientific research applications. Engineered to withstand the challenges of maritime environments, particularly in the swedish archipelago, Searcher is designed to offer optimal performance in variable weather conditions.
