The International Seaweed Association (ISA) is pleased to present the 25th anniversary of the International Seaweed Symposium (ISS) in a beautiful coastal city on the west coast of Canada. Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, is located on the traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees) and Xwsepsum
(Esquimalt) and W̱SÁNEĆ Nations (Saanich Peninsula). The theme of our next conference aims to honour and acknowledge the rich history and connection Indigenous Peoples have had with seaweed for millennia, while paying tribute to the innovators of seaweed research, who have laid the foundation for advancements in seaweed technology which we continue to build upon today and develop into the future.
The 25th ISS invites industry professionals, academics, students, and Indigenous Peoples from around the world to connect, learn and exchange knowledge about all forms of seaweed, to join us in creating a welcoming, informative and memorable event.
