The SEA Youth Sustainability Summit (SEA YSS) is a regional summit focused on empowering young leaders in Southeast Asia with knowledge, skills, and networks to drive sustainability initiatives. It serves as a platform for youth to engage in discussions, workshops, and collaborations on pressing sustainability challenges in the region.
Founded by Jeffrey Amirul in 2023, SEA YSS successfully ran for two years before concluding in 2024. In that time, it impacted over 2,000 youths and amassed 1.5 million engagements, amplifying its message and catalyzing real change in sustainability awareness and advocacy.
The initiative established strategic partnerships with organizations such as WWF-Malaysia and Yayasan Bank Rakyat, and received endorsement from Malaysia’s Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) and the US State Department.
