Second Opinion Experts Alliance (SO) provides Clients with an independent second opinion about strategic or tactical business propositions at the point where they have reached the most important stage of decision making. This second opinion does not propose an outcome, rather it provides a knowledge based ‘sounding board’ where a Client’s proposition, dilemma or decision is such that an independent, confidential and discreet second opinion from our panel of experts could, in the Client’s view, be valuable. Clients seek a second opinion when they have already sought advice and have a substantial body of information available to them. All enquiries will be dealt with in a secure and confidential manner. SO will offer a second opinion through a fully transactional web portal, enabling Clients to register and log-in directly to their private account where they can post data and interact with SO on a confidential basis. This data will have been distilled by the Client from advice, assumptions, analysis and important background information to arrive at a single issue or set of issues. SO differentiates itself from the traditional Consultant as it does not operate in an advisory role: SO does not therefore seek consequential fee based advisory work. The breadth and depth of the Experts Alliance members’ core competences enables SO to provide a second opinion across a wide variety of business interests in the public and private sectors. Membership of the Experts Alliance is by invitation only and subject to strict conditions of anonymity and includes commitment to a Confidentiality Undertaking and Non-Disclosure Agreement. At a time when an important decision must be made SO, as a ‘critical friend’, can quickly provide a second opinion for chief executives, non- executive directors and decision makers at all levels in the private and public sectors.
