SEDHYD is the successor to the Federal Interagency Conferences on Sedimentation and Hydrologic Modeling.
History: The first Federal Interagency Sedimentation Conference was held in 1947! The Sucommittee on Hydrology held their first Interagency Workshop in 1993. The Federal Interagency Hydrologic Modeling Conferences were held starting in 1998, and thereafter in 4 or 5 year increments.
Today, SEDHYD provides an interdisciplinary mix of engineers, scientists, and managers from government agencies, academia, and the business community to present recent accomplishments and progress in research and on technical developments related to sedimentation processes, hydrologic modeling, and the impact of sediment on the environment. The SEDHYD conference is held every 4 years, with the last one taking place in Reno in 2019.
