About Seeding Africa Seeding Africa is a female-led, minority-owned nonprofit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, dedicated to empowering women across Africa through access to technology education, mentorship, and economic opportunities. With deep roots in the African diaspora, Seeding Africa is focused on bridging the digital divide and advancing gender equity by supporting women in rural and underserved communities. Our mission is to equip African women with in-demand digital skills—particularly in data science, analytics, and related STEM fields—so they can pursue real-world careers, achieve financial independence, and drive positive change in their communities. We work to align our programs with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially those related to gender equality, poverty reduction, and decent work. Through strategic partnerships with ICT training organizations and community-based institutions, Seeding Africa sponsors scholarships, provides project-based learning opportunities, and offers mentorship that prepares participants for the workforce. Our holistic approach includes hands-on training, career development, and pathways into employment, entrepreneurship, or further education.
