Seedrise has developed a functional seed-coating made from biochar allowing to apply a great variety of agricultural substances directly to the seed where they are most efficient.
Macro- and micronutrients as well as biologicals all interact with each other in order to increase yields. Biochar itself is a carbon sink, regenerating soils and bringing them back to life.
In addition, the ability of biochar to store water helps young plants to better survive high temperatures. The black coating disguises the seed as a seed as such, reducing animal damage such as from birds.
