A shocking 43% of Small Businesses in the United States were forced to temporarily close as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic! Shockwaves of the Pandemic still ring through our communities as small businesses continue to suffer. We here at Westchester Connect see this as a devastating tragedy for America, as entrepreneurship on any scale is among the esteemed tools of social mobility and a key tenant in the American Dream. To us, it is unacceptable to allow local businesses in our community to continue being afflicted. In response, 3 ambitious and high-achieving high school students collaborated to form Westchester Connect. We seek to ease the burden on small businesses in our local community by connecting them with investors in exchange for temporary stake in said business. In addition, we seek to highlight these businesses to our community, especially those who demonstrate a commitment to environmental consciousness. Help us build our community and encourage entrepreneurship! We encourage local businesses seeking support to connect with us. We are based in Yonkers and serve the Westchester Area. In addition, we are in the process of filing for 501(c) Status.
