At SeeMySkills, we're on a mission to reshape the workplace into a more inclusive, empowering, and diverse space. Our commitment is simple yet profound: 'Do the right thing.' We're tackling the critical issue of disproportionately high unemployment rates among individuals with disabilities, and our vision is a world where equal opportunities flourish. Our mission is clear: reduce unemployment disparities by equipping teenagers and adults with disabilities with essential skills and opportunities. We're all about building confidence, self-advocacy, and resilience through early intervention and workplace skills training. In order to achieve this goal, SeeMySkills has designed two specific programmes to equip teenagers and adults with disabilities with essential skills, support, and opportunities to access meaningful employment. The Accelerator Schools Programme is tailor-made for secondary school students. This off-campus development programme spans four days and covers essential areas such as communication skills, goal setting, time management, mock interviews, CV writing, site visits to key employers, and even barista training. The goal is to help teens secure work experience or part-time work, if they so wish. In addition to the Accelerator Programme, SeeMySkills developed the Empowered Programme, which is specifically designed to empower individuals with disabilities in finding meaningful employment by providing support on a one-to-one basis. We're not just an organisation; we're a movement. We advocate for policy changes, collaborate with stakeholders, empower individuals with disabilities, and support employers in creating inclusive workplaces.
