SeisPetro was formed to commercialize proprietary software developed and used internally by iReservoir.com, Inc. (www.ireservoir.com) over the last 15 years for their integrated reservoir characterization and simulation projects. The applications are related to petrophysics, seismic data analysis, reservoir modeling, reservoir engineering, and flow simulation. We are launching the company by presenting our petrophysical modeling tool iMineralysis, a nonlinear modeling and optimization software designed to estimate mineral and fluid compositions in the most complex geological settings of rock and fluid properties. Here are a few of the advantages of iMineralysis: • Allows the estimation of the mineral end-points (coefficients) when performing multimineral analysis in areas where the end-points are uncertain. • Adaptively tests hundreds of combinations of coefficients within the specified ranges by using a genetic algorithm-based optimization. Basically, it performs the multimineral analysis for hundreds of possible cases in seconds! • Generates a multimineral solution that predicts the input logs and outputs the fractions of fluids and minerals present in the rock. • Allows the estimation of spatial variations in water resistivity, kerogen maturity, and clay composition by estimating the matrix of coefficients using wells from different areas and different intervals.
