Serving the community for 40 years, we, the committed people in SEKEM, cultivate the Egyptian desert and turn it into fertile soil. Using Biodynamic farming methods, we grow healthy Demetercertified crops, which we further process into delicious food products. Almost all the raw materials used for our SEKEM Demeter products come directly from our passionate Egyptian farming community, who cultivates them under strict Biodynamic guidelines, not using any types of chemicals, pesticides, or preservatives. Biodynamic agriculture applies a holistic understanding of life processes. Its basic idea is to treat animals, crops, and soil as a single system in a sustainable way. Accordingly, our farms are home to a high diversity of plants and animals. Behind our premium products stands an enduring journey. It started in 1977 by revitalizing the Egyptian desert and building a sustainable community.
