Accounting and ERP skills gained as a Certified Pastel Installer and 20+years of hands-on Accounting at Balance Sheet Level. IT literacy skills and in-depth understanding of Databases gained while working as Head of End User Support Department at Fort Hare University, as Network Administrator at Stellenbosch University and through many years as an Accounting & Payroll Support consultant. Data management skills include preparation of Excel files for import into Debit Order Management software. Thereafter batches were uploaded to Payment Gateway providers. Accounting and payroll administration and management experience include permanent positions as ‘Group Accounts Manager’ including all HR matters and payroll at Marine & Refrigeration Engineering and ‘Payroll Manager’ at LPH Chartered Accountants. I pride myself on accuracy, working smart and meeting deadlines. By nature I am a strong leader; proactive and results driven, encouraging and supporting colleagues, aware that crisis prevention is superior to crisis management. Achievements include re-engineering of accounting and stock systems, integrating stock to financial systems, resulting in accurate job costing and accurate ‘perpetual’ stock counts, structuring of General Ledgers enabling Consolidation of branch accounting and/or divisional profit centres. Contracting project management experience includes planning, installing, setup, take-on and staff training of ERP & Pastel Accounting systems at SMEs. I implemented a Fixed Assets system for Cape Nature, including bar coding of all assets at their CT head office and Western Cape’s nature reserves; auditing and converting Excel based data to ACCPAC’s 3rd party Norming Fixed Assets with full integration to ACCPAC General Ledger.
