About Semiconductor Quantum Technology Research Group
Our research group focuses on advancing computational methods to study point defects in solids for quantum technology applications. We work at the intersection of first-principles electronic structure calculations, quantum dynamics simulations, and method development. Our goal is to optimize defect-based quantum technologies that we achieve by developing advanced techniques to model the electronic, optical, and spin properties of defects, as well as exploring spin dynamics in non-Markovian environments. We refine methodologies for simulating quantum systems and provide critical insights and numerical parameters essential for the development and optimization of quantum sensing, quantum computation, and quantum communication.
