Sensory Stages is a neurodivergent owned neurodiversity consulting firm for sensory-friendly services designed to create an inclusive and enjoyable theater experience for all. From sensory-friendly performances to sensory sensitivity accommodations, we are committed to making live theater and all performing arts a welcoming space for individuals' diverse needs. Current estimates show that 15%-20% of the population is considered to be neurodivergent, with 5%-15% of the general population experiencing sensory sensitivities affecting their ability to enjoy everyday opportunities. Many of these individuals immediately rule out live theater as compatible to their needs. With the current state of the American Theater struggling to get new patrons in seats, it is time to make sure we are opening the theater to all. With over 20 years of collective experience, Sensory Stages is a dedicated team of theater professionals, neurodiversity advocates, and experts in the field of neurodiversity. Our collective experience and knowledge enables us to provide specialized consulting services that cater to the diverse needs of theater companies, educational institutions, and creative organizations.
