LASER TISSUE ADHESION OPERATIONS
Technology:
Seraffix has developed what is possibly the first tissue closure device based on laser activation of protein. It is also the first device to automatically close lacerations. The Seraffix laser bonding platform is a synergy of several unique technologies. The platform is based on a CO2 laser system that enables easy modulation of the laser’s intensity with a special laser scanner that can scan the whole incision at one go. The system also contains a protein sprayer to spray bonding enhancement material over the incision and a smart Seraffix wound dressing strip that enables the robotic system to manipulate the wound’s edges. The LTB activates the three technologies in a sequenced and integrated way controlled by computerized software.
