The main activity of Serenissima is focused at tannery by-products intended for the production of collagen and gelatins suitable for human consumption according to Reg. (EC) 853/04. In short, our business ranges from the collection of bovine splits, mainly locally sourced in Arzignano tanning district, and their processing. More specifically the splits in lime are subjected to fleshing, trimming and washing in order to eliminate any meat remains or other impurities and comply with food industry requirements. We also operate with splits classified as not suitable for human consumption according to Reg. (EC) 1069/11 (in a separated warehouse). Following the natural development of the core business we are active in the tanning sector, where we offer semi-finished ex-lime splits and double-butts at wet-blue or wet-white stage with the possibility to bring the product to crust state. In addition, in order to complete the product range we also deal with splits and double-butts which are split after tanning.
