SERES is a nonprofit Guatemalan Association led by a dedicated, diverse team that brings together local and international experience to facilitate sustainable development, personal empowerment, education, leadership and appropriate technology.
Our commitment is first and foremost to the Guatemalan and El Salvadorian communities where we work. Our focus is on engaging and empowering youth to become environmental change-makers and local leaders. Since inception, our highest priority has been to listen to the unique set of challenges, needs, and circumstances of each community.
The overarching goal of SERES is to empower community members to find solutions for local environmental and social issues. Our primary role is as facilitators to aid in this process. We believe that through the method of creating a space for youth and young adults to connect, discover and plan action, that real and sustainable changes can be achieved.
