It takes energy to make plastic, now lets turn pre-existing plastics BACK into energy. At Serüm Plastics, our goal was to find a realistic solution to plastic pollution. Starting with seldom recycled industrial films, Serüm Plastics’ products are produced with PCR material and redesigned to break down quickly in landfills. Today's landfills are base load renewable energy machines, capturing natural gases omitted from waste. The technology used in Serüm Plastics' products allows the plastic to undergo a complete biological down within the time frame these environments are managed (ASTM D5526). Ultimately this results in the capture of renewable natural gas, as well as the plastic application being eliminated as a pollutant. We can't recycle our way out of plastic pollution, but we can take these existing plastics and put them for rest once and for all, with the highest possible return-value in the form of energy capture.
