Serva Nanotechnology is an ITC (innovation arm of HKSAR Govt), HKU and HKSTP funded start-up with ambitions to bridge the gap between academia and industry for practical real-world solutions using functional materials; We help develop sustainable material solutions to combat food loss and waste during the storage and transportation stages of the food supply chain
Current projects include:
• Technical consultants to a major, modern agricultural harvester, projects include the study of different packaging materials, post-harvest management using new technologies, driving project in developing new plastic films for cold-chain storage etc
• Development of non-ferrous based oxygen scavengers (patented technology), active packaging solutions
• Development of equilibrium modified atmosphere and humidity packaging products for storage of fresh produce
