The Service Learning Committee is a student-led organization at the International School of Curitiba. We have been extremely lucky in our lives to be where we are today, with the opportunities that we have today, and we recognize this. Every Service Learning member joined the committee because they want to give back and help, and were tired of watching from the sidelines and hoping for the best. Instead, we decided to take matter into our own hands. Joining Service Learning is a practical, fun, hands-on way to help. We care because the issues we help exist in our city, our neighbourhoods and houses, and helping those in need helps us. Service Learning has allowed us to be involved in and tackle issues that we would not even be aware of otherwise, and in this way we strive to help the community we live in.
