The mission of Service-Learning at Northeastern University is to integrate classroom and community goals through transformative service partnerships that enrich the academic experience, inspire lifelong community engagement, and strengthen our local and global communities.
Service-Learning (S-L) is a form of experiential learning for students and a teaching tool for faculty that purposefully integrates academics and service to meet classroom and community goals throughout the semester. As part of their coursework, students serve with community partners as a way to learn the course material.
