About ServoCity

Who We Are We are a passionate team of technically-minded creative individuals based in Winfield, Kansas. We know what it is like to look for the right part for a project. We strive to make that process easy for you and to provide you with the high quality parts you need to bring your ideas to life! Whether you need electronic or mechanical components for use in robotics, RC, education, animatronics, videography, photography, industrial projects, and a wide array of other fields, we hope you find what you are looking for and are here to help if you need us. Our History In 1994, our founder, Brian Pettey, launched Brian Thomas Robotics in his dorm room at Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. Initially, the company focused on manufacturing educational robots and kits for school tech labs. In 2001, the business expanded to include a new division, RobotZone®, that met a need for more industrial robotic components for the commercial and government markets. Eventually the need for robotic components and servo gearboxes grew to include the individual hobbyist market. To meet demand, RobotZone launched ServoCity.com® - making these goods more easily available to the end user. As the offerings expanded, RobotZone felt the need to offer a build system on ServoCity that would allow customers to build a project from start to finish. This system, called Actobotics® is comprised of hundreds of parts and continues to expand and improve to this day.
