SETU in Indian language means a bridge. We are here to create a bridge between the blessed and provisioned people in the urban society and the underprivileged in the extreme rural areas of Maharashtra.

Our short term vision is to ensure that the poor people in the rural areas are covered with one of the basic necessity, clothing. Our long term vision is to encourage literacy in rural areas by building schools and educational institutes and supporting existing schools.
Our values:
The 2nd line of the pledge says "All Indians are my brothers and sister". We mean it.
How we operate?
We work closely with corporates and their CSR teams. We collect used (but not torn) clothes in large quantities. If we find torn clothes, we exchange them for new utensils with our utensil vendors. Our sponsors also help us with snacks and general medicine to be distributed. Once we collect a full truckload of clothes, utensils, snacks, general medicine and household items, we connect with our touch points in one of these rural areas, choose a date of visit and set out to distribute the goods. Most of the time the CSR teams of our corporate donors accompany us for the distribution. Hence, it is a completely transparent activity.
Our touch points:
We have touch points in 80+ extreme rural areas in Maharashtra. Every small village ranges from 40 to 80 houses with an average of 4-5 members in each family. That makes it around 200 to 400 people per village that we cater to each time.
Why only Maharashtra?
It becomes easier from the logistics and commuting perspective. After all, we are a Non government organization
Our work:
Over 600+ donors have blessed more than 2000 poor people in rural Maharashtra. We need more donors as the poor are abundant.
