Seva Tarang Foundation

Seva Tarang Foundation is set up by Harshu Ghate as a Section 8 Company. Harshu Ghate is a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with over 38 years of Professional experience as an Auditor, Management consultant and Founder and Managing Director of a successful enterprise, ESOP Direct. He is a Partner of Kirtane & Pandit, a renowned Chartered Accounting firm, since 1985. In 2022, he divested ownership of ESOP Direct to dedicate full time for a social cause. We had a choice of setting up an NGO which will work for a given cause and address a pain point of the society we live in or the other way was tp work towards strengthening the existing NGOs by using the skills and expertise gained over 3 decades. We chose the latter. There are thousands of NGOs working for a dedicated cause and doing great service to the society. Thousands of crores are being raised and deployed by these organisations for the betterment of the society. We believe that adding one more organisation would not add much value. We would rather set up an operation which will help these NGOs do better, be more efficient and compliant, plan for a longer and sustainable existence of themselves. By taking this route, we believe, we can make better use of our skills and experience for a larger good. While doing this, we did not want to be an advisor sitting on the side-lines. We take ownership of what we undertake and are committed to deliver what we promise. Instead of Project based relationships with NGOs we prefer a long term and involved engagement where we become an extended arm of these organisations. As we set our foot in the social domain we are conscious that working with this sector is quite different than the corporate sector in terms of the culture, needs, priorities and pain points. And we are more than willing to learn the ropes as we progress on our way. Based in Pune, we plan to service NGOs all over India with the use of technology, efficient processes and robust controls.
