Seven Springs Vineyard is a premium wine producer situated between the beautiful seaside town of Hermanus and the spa town of Caledon in the Western Cape of South Africa. We have planted Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc and our first wines came to market, in limited quantities, in 2010, soccer World Cup year in South Africa. By planting the finest rootstock (vines) on some of the best soils available we are making excellent wines reflecting our terroir. Our winemaker is Englishman Augustus (Gus) Dale who learned his trade working in Burgundy for 14 years. Gus is ably supported by our assistant winemaker Renico Botes. They are both as happy, and capable, in the vineyard or winery.
Our wines are exported to Europe and to the USA using the brand name 'Over the Mountain'.
