Our 24 & 33kV solutions comply with:
REGULATION (EU) 2024/573 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of February 2024, on fluorinated greenhouse gases, amending Directive (EU) 2019/1937 and repealing Regulation (EU) No 517/2014.
This regulation was passed into EU Law on the 7th February 2024, making it a requirement, in the case of MV switchgear manufacturers to replace SF6, which has a "Global Warming Potential" (GWP) of 25,200 with a an insulation medium that has a maximum GWP of 1000, for up to 52kV switchgear and <1 from 52kV up to 145kV.
The prohibition dates for the use of SF6 in new MV switchgear are 24 kV from January 1st 2026 and 33 kV from January 1st 2030.
