SFPE - Chicago Chapter

Chicago fire protection engineers were a major force behind the formation of the international Society in 1950. Chicago members then pushed for the establishment of chapters within the Society, and Chicago became the first chapter in 1953. SFPE now has over 4,200+ members in 66+ regional and local chapters, and 15+ student chapters worldwide. The objective of the chapter is to promote the art and science of fire protection engineering and its allied fields, to maintain a high professional standard among its members, and to foster fire protection engineering education.
