CAD/CAM changed the face of dental laboratory workflow about 15 years ago, while the basic system is revolutionary, it has continued to grow and evolve. One such advancement comes in the form of 3D printing.
At S.F.T, 3D printing is widely used to streamline and simplify workflows. Primarily, it is used for model making and for the accurate production of surgical drill guides. We also print removable die and models with implant analogues, with or without gingival masks, temporary crowns and bridges and custom impression trays.
Additionally, we routinely make occlusal splints and surgical guides for implant placement. We use a Straumann P40 3D printer and have a Validated coDiagnostiX™ Guides producer license.
Our entire 3D workflow is calibrated and verified to be 100% accurate by coDiagnostiX™, Shera and Straumann – an unrivalled level of precision and accuracy.
