Ongoing developments include 12/24/48 Volt comfort & body architectures, High Power electric/hybrid mobility solutions and connectivity. Seat, light and door subsystems are readily available. A full implementation of ASG, combining both high voltage (EV/HEV) and 12 Volt car architectures, has already been prototyped and tested on the road.
The ASG solution, the nextgen on-board Automotive Smart Grid management solution, combines three fundamental innovations :
• Synchronous and distributed task management of all systems elements, that allow many different functions to run in parallel, smoothly and safely,
• Communication between the electronic units using automotive powerline protocol (PLC), diminishing weight and cost of harnesses,
• Local « reflex » ultra-fast functions in each electronic unit, to enable sensorless functions, actuators health monitoring and harness protection.
