School of Governance and Public Affairs

The School of Governance and Public Affairs (SGPA) aims to build the leadership potential of the state and help create a vast network of capacity-built future change agents in governance, public affairs, and policy. The School has been established to strengthen public policy academics in the eastern part of the country. Students are acquainted with the vision and values of excellence, integrity, inclusiveness, compassion and ethics set by Xavier University. The SGPA is XIM University's 11th School and is located at the ultra-modern International Center in the Campus and was inaugurated on 5th February 2020 by the Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik. A full-fledged 2-year MPPG program was launched in 2020. This is the flagship program of the School of Governance and Public Affairs. The students of our full-time B.A. (Hons.) Public Administration and Governance (BA-PAG) and Masters in Public Policy and Governance (MPPG) and other programmes, the working professionals who participate in our Executive and Management Development Programmes, the research scholars in our PhD. The programme and the faculty enrich the University community with their diversity and experience. The University welcomes professionals from Government, Corporate, Non-Government Organisations, International and Bi-lateral Development Organisations and UN Agencies.
