San Gabriel Valley Public Affairs Network (SGVPAN)

The San Gabriel Valley Public Affairs Network is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization founded in 1993 for individuals involved in the various disciplines of to public affairs, including community, government, and public relations, communications, and other positions in substantial public interface roles. The primary function of SGVPAN is to make accessible and present elected officials and subject-matter experts in educational meetings on topics of interest to the community in general, and to public administrators in particular. Additional functions include: • Fostering higher standards of professionalism and ethical conduct by its members • Educating and informing members and supporters of the public affairs profession on current issues affecting the San Gabriel Valley, California, and the personalities that are important to that profession • Promoting networking among its members • Creating relationships among members that facilitate the ability to seek advice and counsel from peers on challenges and opportunities of mutual interest
