The mine was operational from 2020 to 2023 under the previous owner Scotgold Resources, however due to increasing costs the project paused operations and when into care and maintenance. Acrux Gold, under the parent company Acrux Sorting Technology has invested in the project and the mine is ramping up to begin production in 2025.
