ShabdAaweg is a safe space where readers and writers connect; a pot where ideas mingle, simmer and become one; a collective for dialogue and change — social, political, and ideological. In sum, it’s an abode for action on creative impulses and synergy of energies. MISSION To facilitate social change by stimulating the creative spirit within. To empower the disadvantaged and underprivileged by providing them with access to creative endeavors. To be a platform for opinions and fruitful dialogue (Elenchus). Art can change the world. This fact is known to all. ShabdAaweg aspires to do the same, by helping individuals and groups harness their creative energy that can further help in uplifting society. VISION ShabdAaweg believes in the power of the creative impulse. We think that a creative individual is progressive, virtuous, happy, and more empathetic. In fact, if every individual pursues one or the other of creative art forms, the world will become a much better place. This is the core of ShabdAaweg’s philosophy — that creativity fosters change. We believe a person should be as balanced as what Aristotle sought through his ethical works, and as impulsive as what Rilke through his Poesy.
