Shah, a social enterprise based in Nepal, is transforming wild-grown hemp into a catalyst for fair employment, economic growth, climate change mitigation, eco-friendly construction and sustainable hemp-based product.We work with local stakeholders to create meaningful employment, hemp-based housing, and unique craft products with hemp fibers that support the development of their community. We are the first company in Nepal to create a supply chain with local villagers in Nepal to source the hemp stalks (which are otherwise burnt) and process them through our small scale machinery to produce Hemp Shivs for construction and Hemp fiber for textile & paper making. We encourage use of small man assisting machines to improve output and generate more and more employment rather than replacing humans with big industrial machines. We have created ethical small scale supplies for local renewable resources.
