Lugging the standard umbrella to the beach is difficult, heavy, clunky, and frankly, just not worth it! That's why we created Shaka Shade! Australia's ultimate wind-powered beach shade. The dual configuration design means it can be used in high wind, low wind, and even no wind at all!
A lightweight (3.5kg), simple-to-use (2-3 min set up) alternative to the standard beach umbrella that provides substantially more shaded area (up to 12sqm), and can be used in almost any weather condition. It's also conveniently compact so even the smallest members of your family can be of use on those hot summer days!
Sound was also a major consideration when designing Shaka Shade, and the final fabric was chosen with this detail in mind. Made from a super lightweight parachute material, Shaka Shade is beautifully quiet as it gently floats on the slightest breeze (only 3-4kph is needed), and even in high wind, a conversation at normal speaking level is more than achievable.
On those rare, super still days, the versatility of Shaka Shade allows it to be transformed into a more traditional beach tent by attaching the additional accessories (beach pegs, guy ropes, etc) included with the product. The guy ropes are adjustable so beach goers can make them as long or as short as desired.
