SHAP at CUNY

SHAP is an organization dedicated to homeless outreach. We work with the Department of Homeless Services to interact with unhoused individuals on the street, to build connections with them, and to find them a place to stay where they can get the resources they need to further their life in a positive direction. SHAP consists of multiple teams throughout NYC, working together with the city, and the Mayor’s office. We are the Upper East Side / Hunter team. We take in all volunteers, regardless of background. Currently, we do outreach on Wednesday and Thursdays, from 8:30AM to 11:00AM and 6:30PM to 9:00PM.
