Representing the interests of adoptees from Bangladesh and families in Bangladesh in search of their lost children. Creating a bridge between Bangladesh and the Netherlands. https://www.shaplacommunity.org Since research has shown that intercountry child adoption contains a form of child trafficking, we are advocating for the rights of abandoned children and the families who lost their child(ren). The Dutch Foundation Shapla Community aims to access information, restore the honour of the birthmothers, and reunite children and families - with a team of 10-20 volunteers.
