Share4Equity aims to explore the role of shared mobility services in achieving equitable transport, mobility justice, and the 15-minute City concept. Sustainable transitions in cities involve reducing car-dependency and promoting active modes of transportation. Shared mobility services, such as car sharing and e-scooter sharing, have emerged as an alternative to private cars. However, they are often concentrated in privileged areas, leading to unequal distribution and transport inequalities.
It examines the distribution of shared mobility opportunities, user perceptions, and inclusivity of sharing forms. By using quantitative and qualitative methods, including spatial modelling, mobility behaviour diaries, back-casting, and co-creative workshops. The comparative transnational approach includes case studies from Germany, Sweden, Italy, Poland and Canada, ranging from privileged inner-city districts to car-dependent peri-urban areas. The project aims to develop a justice-oriented toolkit for evaluating local mobility policies and practices to promote sustainable shared mobility services within the 15-minute City concept.
