Shared Economy Sweden is a trade association that focuses on helping peer to peer based platform companies unite as one. We are in a time of change and with change comes responsibility, that is why five companies came together to start the organization. Our proposal: 1) Define shared economy as an economic activity and not a professional activity below a certain amount. 2) Simplified taxation up to a certain amount and no VAT in amounts below. We recommend 50,000 SEK per year, just as for second hand rentals. 3) Platforms are obligated to automatically report earnings of users on the platform Similar proposal is implemented in Belgium and studied in Italy. EU-Commission has also written directives that go hand in hand with ours.
