Sharek961

Sharek961 is a platform for citizen reporting in Lebanon. Sharek961 launched for the June 2009 national parliamentary elections as a means for every Lebanese citizen to report on the events around the elections from a first-person perspective, via SMS, email, online, or Twitter. Sharek961 was built using innovative non-profit and open-source technologies, including Ushahidi, Swift River, and FrontlineSMS, and is managed and maintained by a global team of volunteers and supported by crowd-sourcing content partners Meedan and Demotix.
