Shaw & Shaw Architects

We met at the Wellington School of Architecture in 2007, and spent five years studying, sketching and sticking models together, before getting married (in our favourite building, John Scott’s Futuna Chapel). After completing our Masters degrees we gained experience under some of New Zealand’s leading architects. Working on projects ranging from a farmhouse in Mangatahi to townhouses for iwi in Newtown; from a Bowling Club in Hataitai to a sports complex in Thames; and from fixing a leaky home in Raumati to a Church seismic upgrade in Te Aro. We started Shaw & Shaw Architects so we could focus on what matters to us, which is making good architecture accessible to Kiwis. We are a New Zealand Institute of Architects practice, and Geordie is a Registered Architect.
