According to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, goal number 5 is gender equality which aims at empowering all women and girls, financial inclusion is a key component. Goal number 8 is decent work and economic growth, a key focus area for SheEO. The women we engage are mainly micro-entrepreneurs who are in the informal sectors and marginalized areas. Banks and other financial institutions lack products fit for this category of women and this is the problem we seek to solve.
