Sheffield Hydroelectric Power Project

Sheffield Hydroelectric Power Project company information, Employees & Contact Information

SheffHEPP (Sheffield Hydroelectric Power Project) is a collaborative effort between engineering students and various local councils across the UK to harness local bodies of water for additional green energy sources. Our current project involves working alongside the Honley Village Council to deliver a hydroelectric water wheel installation on the local Magdale Weir. In the local community, we are also running Project SHIFT (Sustainable Hydropower Initiative for Tomorrow) to deliver demonstration hydroelectric systems to various clients. History The first project, in 2021, involved setting up a temporary hydroelectric power installation on River Poulter, located in Nether Langwith, Mansfield. The purpose was to provide a green, quiet source of energy to power the village's Christmas lights and celebrations. We are proud to have worked in partnership with the Nether Langwith Parish Council to deliver a proposal and help make this project a reality.
