University of Sheffield Basketball Club

The University of Sheffield's basketball club, open to all abilities ranging from competitive BUCS Division 1 to Social basketball on Saturdays. We have 3 teams; Men's 1st (BUCS Division 1): This team competes in BUCS Division 1 the second highest standard of University basketball in the country. We recently achieved a 2nd place finish in the league, with hopes of promotion to the Premier Division in the coming seasons. Men's 2nds (BUCS Division 3): Our Men's second team are freshly promoted into Division 3 winning Division 4 last year after a strong season finishing 8-2 despite losing the first 2 games of the season. Men's 3rd Team (Development): Our 3rd team plays in the competitive Sheffield local league (SBL), serving as feeder into our 2nd team with players looking to hone and develop their skills in hopes of getting a call up. Social Basketball: For those looking to learn how to play basketball or a more laid back environment we have social basketball on a Saturday morning ran by one of our executive committee members.
