We give businesses working in health, advanced manufacturing and forensic science access to the latest scanning, imaging, advanced microscopy and related analytical technologies, so they can test, innovate and enhance their products and their operational workflow.
Vision statement – The Sheffield Multimodal Imaging Centre’s ambition is to be a regional, national and internationally recognised multimodal imaging Centre operating efficiently and transparently, making a quantifiable impact on the end-users and beyond.
SMIC is a unique environment that has been set up to coordinate, harmonise, identify and develop the best multi-modal imaging solutions to the benefit of industry, healthcare, secure societies and academia. Its unique selling point is the proximity of the state-of-the-art imaging equipment and expertise enabling the quick identification of the combination of the most appropriate imaging and expertise resources needed to solve a problem.
