SHE IS COOOL is the platform for female designers and creatives who shape a regenerative future, founded by architect and feminist Carolien Ligtenberg. Regenerative means designing and creating in ways that actively restore and revitalise both our environment and society. The major challenges of our time, such as climate change, social inequality, revolutions in information and biotechnology and increasing polarization, call for a new approach, for the use of feminine values on a larger scale. Collaboration, connection, harmony with nature, designing with an eye for future generations and creating social value, deserve a central place in our society. The regenerative future requires a fundamentally different mindset, alternative models and innovative designs. It is time for women and feminine values to take a leading role. Many talented, emerging, and established female designers are already working on immensely valuable projects that contribute to building a regenerative future. They work in various discipines, such as architecture & urban development, nature & landscape, product & material, fashion & textile, food, science & bio design, art, social design and personal development. These are women everyone should know! It’s SHE IS COOOL’s mission to make these female designers more visible, to show their innovation potential and to generate collective impact for a better world. End 2024, SHE IS COOOL launched The Collective Portfolio, showcasing 165 female designers you should know. SHE IS COOOL works with partners who share the mission for a more regenerative and inclusive world, and are open to a fundamental change of mindset, innovative impact, and alternative models.
