Browse Online. Buy Local. How often would you buy local, but can’t resist the convenience of online browsing and searching? ShelfDig has created an innovative way to browse online and buy local. ShelfDig enables shoppers to browse, search and discover online the products available in stores in their local community. A semi-finalist in the Rhode Island Business Plan Competition, ShelfDig launched to the public in the beginning of November 2015 and currently has partnerships with nearly 100 stores in the Providence area. Using proprietary technology, ShelfDig enables shoppers to zoom in on an individual item so that they can even read the label and see the texture of a fabric. Shoppers are able to add items to a wish list, put products on hold, or create a shopping list by neighborhood.
